Activity Passports

In December the The Rt Hon Damian Hinds MP along with the Department for Education developed a 'Passport' of activities launched to enrich children's experiences and skills. The passport provides 20 ideas for each year groups and the tasks have been planned to help children build life skills, resilience and a positive mindset.

Each set of activities are designed to be accessible so that every child and family can get involved and include milestones for each primary school year group. Children in Diamond class will be challenged to take part in many exciting activities: visiting a castle, exploring a cave, hiking, creating a time capsule and seeing the sunrise are just a few examples

We will be looking into completing some of the activities in school time, however, it is likely that the majority will need to be done at home. Though this is not official 'homework', the passport has been sent home with your children. The children recognised that it would help them spend more time with their families and were excited about the activities. I believe that it is a lovely set of activities and it would be wonderful if you could complete some of them with your children. It would be fantastic to hear about your experiences completing the tasks and I hope to see many pictures that we can share. We have a display board ready to show the achievements.

Diamond class have risen to every challenge I have set them this far, and I'm excited to see how they take on this one. I can't wait to hear about the first completed activities!
